Fingerprints to Teach

I just read Miguel’s latest post “To catch a Teacher” and this really got me thinking. It seems all teacher’s in Texas have been given 80 days to get Fingerprinted or they will lose their jobs. I can see the reasoning behind it, but here in Australia it would be a brave decision to enforce.

What are your thoughts on this issue? How would you feel if they brought compulsory fingerprinting into Australia?
